Dr. Melissa Judd-Smarr is a passionate and accomplished Public Health professional with over 15 years of experience in environmental health sciences and epidemiological research. With a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Chemistry (Magna Cum Laude) from North Carolina Central University, Melissa brings both academic excellence and real-world impact to her work.

Throughout her career, she has led large-scale funding programs, designed strategic public health initiatives, and fostered meaningful community partnerships. Her expertise spans public health leadership, data analysis, grant and program management, and effective communication tailored to diverse audiences.

At the heart of Melissa’s work is a deep commitment to service. She believes that public health is not just a profession—it’s a calling to uplift communities, protect the vulnerable, and create healthier environments for all.
